We're excited to announce the third beta release of the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries. The focus of this release is portability and build issues. We'd like to thank all the people who helped us by packaging all this libraries on so many different systems. The libraries run better now, especially on OpenBSD and Mac OS X systems. It's really the right time to help us package it for more targets and rock on all of them!
The APIs and ABIs of all beta3 libraries are considered stable, but please test your apps with them and report back any issues you may encounter. Thanks to the last beta, a small number of bugs have been identified. Once they are fixed we will jump into the release candidate cycle.
As the end of the beta cycle get closer, we still need a lot of help to write documentation, tutorials, and examples; if you have time to contribute, this is a good area to help with! As you may have noticed (or not) our documentation situation is already improving. If you take a look at our daily updated documentation or our wiki, you will see progress.
Testing is pretty easy: if you're using the EFL from our Subversion repository you can test with revision 55246, but to ensure a smooth release later on, please consider testing with the tarballs provided here.
The list of libraries that are being considered part of this release are:

ProFUSION has just posted news regarding the commercial launch of a new refrigerator called Infinity I-Kitchen by Electrolux (also known as Frigidaire in some countries) that contains a touchscreen-enabled ARM device running Linux.
Part of the new drive for the Smart Kitchen, the Infinity I-Kitchen provides the user with unparalleled control over his refrigerator, all implemented using the EFL in order to provide the kind of smooth and rich user interaction that was requested.
The hardware is a Freescale i.MX25 running at 400Mhz with 128Mb RAM, the display has a resolution of 480x800 and the application is being rendered completely via software, since there was no hardware acceleration available.
Apart from the Evas software render with its outstanding performance, the other libraries that are also worthy of mention due to having made this project a success are Edje and Elementary. They have both enabled a wide array of effects and interactions that otherwise would not have been possible given the hardware and time restrictions. One of the main features of the new product, the Photos application which lets the refrigerator act as a digital photo frame is heavily based on Ethumb.

We're excited to announce the second beta release of the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries. After a huge amount of work by our developers, we are finally approaching the 1.0 release, and we're asking for the community to help test this version in the widest array possible of configurations so that we can be confident our final product will be rock-solid!
Barring any serious showstoppers, we're considering our API and ABI stable and the next step in our plan is the final release itself. If you've developed applications or libraries using the EFL, please test them against this version and report back.
Testing is pretty easy, if you're using the EFL from our Subversion repository you can test with revision 54513, but to ensure a smooth release later on, please consider testing with the tarballs provided here.
The list of libraries that are being considered as part of this release are:
We've recently begun a documentation task force, trying to cleanup the wiki pages making information more easily accessible. Also, as part of our release process, we're really interested in engaging with distros to make sure that those libraries and applications are properly packaged and made available. So if you're willing to participate just get in touch with us via mailing list or IRC (#edevelop @ freenode) and help us make this release awesome.

Several core EFL libraries have now been released as beta. There may be some minor bugs, but most if not all are gone. We invite input, especially on bugs, and any patches you may have to fix them. You can get the beta releases of Eina, Eet, Evas, Ecore, Embryo, Edje, Efreet, E_Dbus and Eeze here.
There are also snapshots of Elementary and Enlightenment available from here. They are not considered stable at this time, but do work. They go together with the beta release above.
You can also get the above libraries in their beta (and snapshot) state if you check out SVN revision 52995. Versions released/snapshotted are as below:

Several core EFL libraries have now been released as alpha. This means the API is "good to go", but there may be bugs. The focus is on fixing bugs now and keeping API stable for a full release once bugs are gone. You can get the alpha releases of Eina, Eet, Evas, Ecore, Embryo, Edje, Efreet, E_Dbus and Eeze here.
You can also get the above libraries in their alpha state if you check out SVN revision 51480. The following libraries are in alpha state for the following versions:
